This 2-day interactive programme is designed to teach attendees how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis. Mental Health First Aid is a nationally recognised training qualification teaching a set of skills which enables attendees to support someone experiencing mental health issues.
Each year approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health condition. Research has shown that if these conditions are not identified and addressed, this could lead to major stress and sickness for the individual concerned.
Mental health conditions are often hidden due to stigma and fear of discrimination or isolation, that can be very damaging to team moral and also costly to employers.
